Developer Licensing Terms
Terms for developers using SnoozStudios to issue, validate and manage licences for their own products.
Effective 10 September 2026 · Version 2026-09-10
1. Service
SnoozStudios provides a hosted licensing platform that lets eligible customers create developer products, issue licence keys, set activation limits and validate licences through the SnoozStudios API.
2. Standard plan limits
| Tier | Active products | Active licences | Activations / licence |
|---|---|---|---|
| Basic | 2 | 10 | 2 |
| Advanced | 10 | 250 | 5 |
| Premium | 50 | 2,500 | 20 |
Published plan pages form part of the contract. SnoozStudios may introduce additional fair-use, security or API-rate controls where reasonably necessary to protect service stability.
3. Plan changes
Upgrades can take effect after successful payment. A lower recurring tier may be scheduled to stop renewing when a higher tier activates. Downgrading does not automatically delete stored products or licence history; however, creating or re-enabling products/licences can be blocked while usage exceeds the lower plan limits.
4. Subscription billing
7-day and 30-day developer plans auto-renew until cancelled. Cancelling normally stops future renewal and keeps access through the already-paid period. Failed payments can cause a seven-day hold followed by expiry if payment is not recovered.
5. Refund policy
The Refund Policy applies. As SnoozStudios commercial policy: 7-day plans have no voluntary refund; 30-day initial purchases have a 5-day refund-request window; lifetime initial purchases have a 7-day refund-request window. Statutory rights remain unaffected.
6. Immediate service
If you ask for the licensing service to begin immediately, SnoozStudios can activate developer features as soon as payment is confirmed. Any statutory cancellation right and any obligation to pay for service already supplied will be determined by applicable law and the information provided at checkout.
7. Your products, customers and resale
You are responsible for your own software, licence terms, customer relationships and legal compliance. SnoozStudios does not become the seller or licensor of your product merely because you use the licensing API.
You may use your SnoozStudios developer plan to issue licences to customers of your own software. However, the SnoozStudios developer-plan account, subscription, dashboard access, API access and plan entitlement itself are non-transferable and may not be resold, sublicensed, rented or shared with another developer or business.
8. API and key security
You must keep developer licence keys, credentials and integration secrets secure. Do not attempt to overload, scrape, probe, bypass or reverse engineer SnoozStudios security controls. Stable server identifiers should not contain unnecessary personal information.
9. Availability and security
No hosted API can be guaranteed to be available without interruption. Your software should handle temporary network failures safely. Do not design your software so that a short SnoozStudios outage causes unsafe behaviour or data loss.
10. Suspension and termination
SnoozStudios may suspend or terminate developer access for non-payment, fraud, abuse, attacks on the service, unlawful use or material breach. Where appropriate, SnoozStudios may give notice and an opportunity to remedy the issue.
11. Data
Licence validation can involve product identifiers, licence-key hashes, activation fingerprints, customer references supplied by the developer and API/security logs. The Privacy Policy explains SnoozStudios data handling.
12. Law
These Developer Licensing Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, subject to mandatory rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
